After taking a gap year and travelling post school, I moved from Perth to Melbourne at the beginning of 2023 to commence a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at RMIT. I'm set to graduate in November this year.
I have a passion for visual storytelling, and in June I am travelling to Guatemala to participate in Solutions Journalism Without Borders - a a four-week solutions journalism study abroad program with a focus on mini and micro-documentary making.
I am currently interning at Worley as a communications and public relations intern, working closely with the Corporate Affairs team, with a focus on internal communications.
I'm also undertaking an internship in communications at RM Consulting Group (RMCG), with a focus on business communications and external project promotion.
Moving interstate without family or a home base has strengthened my independence, and encouraged me to throw myself into all kinds of new experiences to help me figure out areas of journalism I'm really interested in. This has looked like hosting community radio shows, competing in public speaking events, and participating in mentorship programs.
